My concern is about a dystopian future where we are controlled by technology and become slaves to it, which is commonly referred to as ‘techno-dependency’. Shifts in a person’s attachment to their gadgets can raise concerns regarding their mental well-being, productivity, and even relationships.
Screen addiction is, without a doubt, one of the most prominent forms of techno-dependency. We tend to consume an endless amount of hours per day on our mobile phones or laptops scrolling through social media, playing games, or binge-watching shows. The devices we own around the world have been associated with deteriorating health. Increased anxiety, severely diminishing sociability, and self-imposed isolation are just some of these health risks. People around the world have difficulty functioning in real life and often fail to strike a balance between the online and offline realms.
These risks and problems brought attention to a new purpose of technology, which is to solve existing issues. Apple has developed the screen time analysis feature, which allows the user to monitor the amount of time they spend on certain apps. Managing technology denotes a step towards regaining control over one’s self. Many mobile applications and gadgets have also been designed to assist individuals in overcoming their screen addiction by promoting active, balanced lifestyles.
While personal technology use continues to rise, shifts in the world of business have also been regarded. Considered essential in today’s workforce is a shift to remote work. With employees working in more distributed settings, employers have to find ways to ensure that their teams are remaining productive and that systems are working fine. Remote monitoring enables managers to keep track of myriad different aspects like employee productivity and network activity without being present physically.
In sectors that have a high level of remote working, these application software tools are crucial. They enable businesses to monitor activities, offer remote solutions to their requirements, and make certain that everything is in perfect working condition.
